Blooming into the New Year: A Local Flower Farm's E-Commerce Journey

Picture this: snow falling steadily outside, holiday chaos swirling around, and the Plaski team huddled indoors, dreaming of spring while designing a website that practically smells like sunshine and fresh flowers. That’s exactly how we wrapped up 2024 and kicked off the new year—with the launch of a vibrant e-commerce website for a local Franklin, Indiana flower farm!

This wasn’t just any website launch. It was a race against time, Mother Nature, and holiday leftovers. Jill, the mastermind behind this dreamy flower farm, came to us with one mission: she needed a functional, affordable website to sell her coveted dahlia tubers, with the sale going live on January 11th. That gave us a matter of 3 weeks to plan, design, and launch her online store—all while navigating snowstorms and sipping questionable amounts of hot chocolate.

Why We Loved This Project

First, let’s talk about Jill. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room with her energy and big ideas. Her passion for her farm and her flowers is infectious. It’s no wonder she needed a website as lively and colorful as she is.

Our goal? To create a site that not only showcased the beauty of her dahlias but also made the buying process seamless for her customers.

We pulled out all the stops, including:

Spring Dreams in Winter Blues

Working on this project during the snowiest stretch of the season had us craving warmer days and garden strolls. There’s something magical about building a floral website when there are 9 inches of snow outside—it’s like opening a window into spring. From crafting the copy to coding the e-commerce features, every detail reminded us that brighter, flower-filled days were just around the corner… And we know exactly where we will be buying our flowers this season!

Why This Matters

This project wasn’t just about selling dahlia tubers (though they’re selling like hotcakes). It was about helping a local business grow. Jill’s farm isn’t just a source of flowers; it’s a symbol of hard work, community, and joy. Being part of her journey was an honor—and a fantastic way to start the new year.

What’s Next?

With her website live, Jill is ready to tackle the year ahead with a bloom-filled game plan. And us? We’re ready for more challenges, more creativity, and maybe a few more dahlia tubers for our own gardens.

So here’s to kicking off 2025 with a bang—or should we say, a bloom? 🌷 If you’re a small business with big ideas (and an even bigger to-do list), we’d love to help. Let’s make magic happen—no snow required.
